japan mini album

this is my second post for the day.. pls scroll down for the next post:) 

i've made this mini album for my upcoming japan trip.. i've a fetish for collecting stamps chop tt are available on attractions and shopping malls.. so that's the purpose for this mini album.. hopefully i can preserve all the stamps that ive collected in this trip:)

it has been a long long time since i've updated the blog.. life has been pretty busy these days, both work and personal life.. today i'm going to share with you a layout tt i have made yesterday to participate in the made with love #9 Adeline challenge.. In this challenge, we are supposed to incorporate some altered chipboard in the layout.. so this is my take on the challenge..

the chipboard used in this layout were cut using the big shot, and it consist of a corner punch and a heart..I inked the corner punch with distress ink and embossed it with gold embossing powder. i added some liquid pearls onto the bare heart chipboard..

Once upon a sketch January 15th Challenge & CSI case file #3

Happy Chinese New Year to all! It has been a very hectic week with all the spring cleaning and house visiting.. But.. BUT BUT.. i've been itching to do up a LO even though it has been so SO SO busy.. so here i am today, to share my latest LO.. one that i just completed in the wee hours..

I've combined the ONCE UPON A SKETCH January 15th Sketch with the CSI case file 3 Color Challenge..

CSI is a pretty new challenge website, which presents new "Crime Scene" every week! Good for fast scrapper.. You've got to investigate the crime scene, and churn out layouts that fulfill the scheme, evidence and testimony.. Sounds interesting isn't it!! so head over now!! Once Upon A Sketch - January 1st Challenge

This is my first time playing along with Once Upon a Sketch challenge!! Basically, Once upon a Sketch is a Scrapbook Challenge blog that combines scrapbooking with the story behind each and every layout.. super love this idea!! though i seldom journal down my thoughts on my layout.. BUT there is always a start to everything:) 

In the January 1st Challenge, we are supposed to use this sketch as inspiration and do up a layout with New Year Eve as the journalling criteria..

So here's my take on this challenge, and i titled my layout as LOST IN TIME.. 

Basically, I met up with my very sweet girlfriend on new year eve itself to do a christmas exchange!! So i thought it would be very suitable to title the layout as lost in time.. The journal is stored in the purple rolled up paper, that was stuck near the title..

It states "Christmas gift exchange that was done only on new yr eve.. it doesn't even matter, be it on christmas, new yr eve, new yr or even any other normal day.. it doesn't matter if there's gift or not.. all that matters is our friendship.. am so blessed to have you throughout all these yrs.. everything just seems more bearable with you around.. this is the first layout of us together. & i hope we will have many more to come.. so we have to camwhore more often when me meet k.."

This was supposed to be a Christmas card, as i'll be giving it to her together with her christmas gift.. but, i don't want to make it too christmasy as we will only be meeting on New Year's eve for this christmas exchange.. and hence this outlook..

Christmas Tradition

Hi ppl, this is my first blog post on this blog.. i would like to share with you the following layout.. this is a christmas layout featuring the LPY..

for the past many many years, the lpy has spend their christmas together.. doing christmas exchanges, bbq, talk cock sing song and yada yada.. 

LPY actually stands for 老朋友, which means old buddies.. indeed, we have know each other for many many yrs, more than half of our lives, and we grow and mature together.. even after graduation and going through different paths in life, we the lpy actually stand closely united.. its a grp tt remains closely bonded.. am truly glad tt these ppl have walked into my life and remain there for me.. hence i would like to dedicate this first post to them.. 

this layout features some of the photos that were taken during this yr christmas eve, where we did our annual gift exchanges and countdown :)

the edges of the pattern paper are distressed to create the torn look.. and a paper frame is used to frame my photo.. that's me receiving my first present of the night!!! (btw, we received 3 pressies each for this yr:D)

this is a christmas tree made using paper doily.. what's christmas without christmas tree.. and what's christmas layout without a doily christmas tree.. isnt it? lol

paper doily again!! paper doilies are a must have in my creations.. (u will come to realise that almost all my creations involve paper doilies in one form or the other) and indeed there is no better phrases than "friendship in full bloom" to represent LPY:)
